Sightmark Presidio 1–6×24 HDR is a compact low-power variable optic, commonly referred to as an LPVO, built around a 1–6× magnification range, a wide field of view and the dedicated hunting-oriented HDR Hunter Dot reticle. The configuration combines a 24 mm objective lens, illuminated etched reticle and a durable one-piece 30 mm main tube.
The exact model is SM13140HDR. It uses the HDR reticle in the second focal plane – SFP, six red illumination levels, precise 1/2 MOA adjustments and a field of view reaching 33.89 m at 100 m.
A dedicated hunting reticle with an etched construction, strong Duplex-style outer lines and a fine centre dot.
On this model, HDR means Hunter Dot Reticle. Sightmark designed the reticle so the stronger outer lines naturally guide the eye toward the centre, while the fine dot maintains good visibility over the observed object.
At the maximum 6× magnification, the centre dot measures 0.5 MOA. At the minimum 1× setting, the same dot visually corresponds to 3 MOA because the reticle is positioned in the second focal plane.
The reticle is etched on glass, so it remains visible in black even when the illumination is switched off.
The 1–6× range allows quick movement between maximum field of view and a more detailed image. At 1×, the field of view reaches 33.89 m at 100 m; at 6× it is 5.59 m at 100 m.
Provides the widest field of view of the riflescope and a broad overview at shorter distances.
Adds significantly more visible detail without sacrificing the compact character of the system.
A single housing covers a broad practical range of observation.
The HDR reticle offers 6 brightness settings. OFF positions are placed between the individual levels, allowing illumination to be switched off directly from the selected setting without rotating through the complete range.
Level 1 is intended for lower-light conditions, while level 6 is suited to brighter outdoor environments.
The HDR reticle remains usable as a black reticle when illumination is switched off.
The illumination is powered by a standard 3 V CR2032 battery.
The lenses feature Fully Multi-Coated optical surfaces, designed to support light transmission and contrast. The turrets are low-profile, capped and operate with clearly defined mechanical adjustment steps.
Multi-layer coatings on optical surfaces support a clearer, higher-contrast image.
Elevation and windage are adjusted in half-MOA increments.
The officially specified adjustment range is 140 MOA for elevation and 140 MOA for windage.
The Presidio series uses a one-piece 30 mm tube made from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminium. The exact model has a matte black hard-anodised finish and is designed for demanding field use.
A standard diameter with a wide selection of compatible rings and mounting solutions.
A strong and comparatively lightweight material used in the Presidio construction.
Sightmark lists .338 as the maximum calibre in the technical specification for this model.
Presidio SM13140HDR carries an IP67 water- and dust-protection rating, nitrogen filling, and a construction described by Sightmark as shockproof and protected against internal fogging.
Official protection rating against dust and water ingress.
Helps protect the internal optical system during temperature changes.
The officially specified operating temperature range for the exact model.
With an overall length of 266.41 mm, the Presidio 1–6×24 remains compact. Eye relief is 99.1 mm, while the 18 oz factory weight corresponds to approximately 510 g.
A compact overall length for a riflescope with a six-times magnification range.
Generous distance between the eye and eyepiece according to the factory specification.
The factory weight is 18 oz, equivalent to approximately 510 grams.
On this particular Presidio, parallax is fixed at 100 yards, approximately 91.4 m. The model does not use the side parallax adjustment found on some higher-magnification Presidio versions.
The official video is published by Sightmark and presents the development, construction and general concept of the Presidio riflescope series. It covers the Presidio family as a whole and is not presented as a dedicated video exclusively for SM13140HDR.

HDR means Hunter Dot Reticle. It is a hunting-oriented etched reticle with Duplex-style lines and a fine centre dot.
No. That feature belongs to the separate CR1 version. SM13140HDR uses the Hunter Dot Reticle and should not be confused with SM13140CR1.
At maximum 6× magnification, the centre dot measures 0.5 MOA; at 1× it visually corresponds to 3 MOA.
The reticle offers 6 red illumination levels, with an OFF position between the individual settings.
No. On the exact 1–6×24 HDR model, parallax is factory-set at 100 yards, approximately 91.4 m.
The capped turret indexes can be returned to the “0” mark after adjustment. The official manual does not show the separate mechanical Zero Stop system used on certain other Presidio models for SM13140HDR.
Sightmark officially lists flip-up lens covers, a Throw Lever for magnification adjustment and one CR2032 battery.
