The Benelli Lupo Alpha was created as a new type of bolt-action rifle: exceptionally lightweight, structurally rigid and engineered for consistent accuracy. The exact A0695700 configuration is chambered in .308 Winchester and features a 51 cm free-floating Crio barrel, BE.S.T. Dark-Grey finish, detachable double-stack five-round magazine and an approximate weight of 2.6 kg.

The low weight is not achieved through simple thinning of the components. The stock and fore-end were developed through biomimetics, generative design and additive manufacturing, while the aluminium chassis and rigid steel barrel-action assembly form a strong load-bearing structure.

The Lupo Alpha was developed around three clear objectives: minimum weight with a metal chassis, consistent accuracy and complete control of the rifle. Every cavity, wall thickness and load-bearing area serves a specific structural or ergonomic purpose.

From nature to the finished component
Biomimetics, generative design and additive manufacturing

The open structure of the stock and fore-end is not decorative. Benelli studied how a component can remain light, rigid and durable at the same time. The inspiration comes from hollow bone structures found in certain animal species, including birds – natural systems that combine low mass with high strength.

The load-bearing geometry is inspired by natural structures containing internal cavities that remove unnecessary material without sacrificing strength.

Generative design

Multiple possible configurations were analysed against defined loads and performance targets. Benelli then refined the selected solution through advanced ergonomic studies.

Special high-strength polymers are built layer by layer, allowing complex internal shapes that cannot be produced efficiently through conventional manufacturing.

Accuracy begins with the structure
Aluminium chassis + rigid steel barrel-action system

The central structure of the Lupo Alpha is a grey-anodised aluminium chassis. The rigid steel barrel-action assembly is connected to this chassis, maintaining low overall weight while preserving stability in the areas that matter most for repeatable accuracy.

Benelli tests each rifle in the series for a SUB-M.O.A. three-shot group with quality factory ammunition. In the Lupo Alpha, accuracy is produced by the complete system: chassis, recoil lug, rigid action, free-floating barrel and clean adjustable trigger.

SUB-M.O.A. certificate

Factory certification for accuracy below one minute of angle with a three-shot group.

Recoil lug

Firing load is transferred to a dedicated bearing area in the chassis rather than to the polymer exterior.

Rigid support system

The combination of steel and aluminium maintains stable geometry from shot to shot.

The rifle is supplied without mechanical sights. A full-length Picatinny rail is included for mounting an optic, while the action also features a capped 3+2+3 hole configuration.
BE.S.T. Surface Treatment
Protection for the key metal components

BE.S.T. is Benelli’s exclusive hybrid surface technology, developed to provide high resistance to corrosion, abrasion, wear and weather exposure. On the Lupo Alpha, the treatment is applied to the barrel, upper receiver, bolt, bolt handle and muzzle-thread protector.

60° short bolt-handle movement

The bolt uses three locking lugs. Its 60° opening angle shortens the movement of the bolt handle and leaves more clearance beneath a mounted riflescope.

Longitudinal fluting reduces the contact area and helps maintain smooth cycling when dirt is present. Both the bolt and bolt handle receive BE.S.T. protection.

A crisp, clean trigger with a wide adjustment range. The reduced trigger load supports precise shot release.

Ambidextrous safety

The safety can be configured in two ways and is combined with a bolt-unlock lever for unloading while the safety remains engaged.

Natural Grip

The porous finish and raised two-tone texture provide secure hand contact without aggressive chequering.

Combtech Medium

Interchangeable elastic comb insert designed to reduce impact and vibration transferred to the cheek.

Integrated trigger guard

The lower section is integrated into the structure for compactness and additional rigidity.

+1 mm trigger distance

The distance between the grip and trigger can be increased by one millimetre using the supplied spacer.

Shooter fitting
Adjustable length of pull: 340 / 350 / 360 mm

The standard length of pull is 350 mm. With the corresponding polyurethane recoil pads, the L.O.P. can be shortened to 340 mm or extended to 360 mm. This allows the rifle to be adapted to the shooter’s build, clothing thickness and preferred position behind the optic.

A full Picatinny rail is supplied. The rifle does not include mechanical sights.

Important: use only muzzle devices with an internal diameter suitable for .308 Win and follow the manufacturer’s installation and safety instructions.
