The model combines the B-Link® gas-operated system, rotating bolt head, Steelium® Optima-Bore® HP barrel, interchangeable Optimachoke® High Performance choke tubes, provision for an optical sight mount and the possibility of adding a compatible Beretta GunPod 2 electronic module later.
This description has been prepared specifically for manufacturer configuration A7C13462215010 and is not a generic description covering every A400 Xplor Action version.
Important GunPod clarification: this shotgun has a factory-installed black cap marked “READY FOR GUN POD”. This means that the stock is prepared for the later installation of a compatible GunPod 2 unit, but the electronic module itself is not part of the standard supplied equipment.
Important stock clarification: this configuration uses a right-hand stock and an Extralight® 20 mm recoil pad. It must not be presented as a version with the integrated Kick-Off hydraulic recoil-reduction system unless the individual shotgun is specifically identified as an A400 Xplor Action Kick-Off version.

The B-Link® system is at the heart of the Beretta A400 Xplor Action. It integrates the gas-operated mechanism, rotating bolt head and feeding system into a fast and dependable semi-automatic platform.
A controlled portion of the gases generated during firing operates the mechanism, ejecting the fired case and loading the next cartridge. The system is designed for dependable operation with a wide range of suitable hunting ammunition within the firearm’s approved specifications.
The rotating bolt head provides secure locking directly to the barrel. The practical construction also supports straightforward disassembly, cleaning and regular maintenance.

The barrel is manufactured using Steelium® technology and features Optima-Bore® HP internal geometry. The system is designed to support smooth shot-column transition and preserve a uniform, dense and predictable pattern.

The shotgun uses interchangeable Optimachoke® High Performance choke tubes. They allow the shot pattern to be adapted according to the ammunition, distance and specific hunting application.
The supplied configuration lists choke tubes numbered 1, 3 and 5, together with a choke-tube wrench.
The stock and forend are manufactured from natural walnut with a semi-gloss oil finish. The warm colour and natural grain are combined with the gloss-blued barrel and the distinctive bronze-coloured receiver of the Xplor Action series.
The pistol-grip stock and shaped forend are designed for stable control and natural mounting. This configuration is intended for a right-handed shooter.

This exact configuration is fitted with an Extralight® recoil pad with a thickness of 20 mm. It provides comfortable shoulder contact and supports stable, repeatable mounting.
It must not be confused with the separate A400 Xplor Action Kick-Off version, which uses a dedicated hydraulic recoil-reduction system inside the stock.
The receiver is prepared for the installation of a compatible mounting base. This allows the shotgun to be equipped with a suitable red dot, optical sight or other compatible aiming device.
The selected base and sight must be compatible with the firearm and installed with consideration for safe operation and correct eye position. Installation by a qualified gunsmith is recommended.
An original black cap marked “READY FOR GUN POD” is installed on the bottom of the pistol grip. It indicates that the stock is factory-prepared for the later installation of a compatible electronic module.
The GunPod or GunPod 2 module is not included with this shotgun. No part is missing – the black cap is the correct factory configuration for a shotgun supplied as Ready for GunPod.

Beretta GunPod 2 is a separately available Bluetooth module installed in the prepared area of the pistol grip. The device does not have its own screen – information is transmitted to a compatible smartphone.
Its built-in shot counter recognises fired shots and supports a digital record of hunting outings. Through the MyHunt application, the user can store information about shots, routes, photographs, videos and statistics.
The system can also provide safety-related functions through the connected smartphone, including quick calling and GPS-position sharing where supported and configured.
