The CZ 457 Varmint is designed for shooters who require a stable platform for accurate sporting use and hunting at medium to extended distances for the .22 WMR calibre. The heavy barrel profile supports consistent behaviour and repeatable accuracy during successive shots.
This configuration features a 525 mm barrel without mechanical sights, a 1/2×20 muzzle thread, a detachable five-round magazine and an 11 mm dovetail milled into the steel receiver for mounting a suitable riflescope.

Adjustable trigger
The single-stage trigger allows the pull weight to be adjusted from 8 to 15 N, together with adjustment of the travel before and after release.

The reduced opening angle supports fast and smooth cycling and provides additional clearance around a mounted riflescope.
Safe operation
The positive two-position safety, cocking indicator and separate bolt-release control support safe inspection, unloading and routine maintenance.
Modular CZ 457 system
The platform allows compatible barrels and calibres to be changed at user level, in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and applicable legal requirements.
Precision mechanism
The receiver is manufactured from solid steel and protected by an anti-corrosion surface finish. Its upper section features a proven 11 mm dovetail for riflescope rings or an additional mounting rail.
