Actual runtime depends on battery charge, ambient temperature and operating conditions. Overheat protection may automatically reduce brightness as the flashlight temperature increases.

Instant Burst – Maximum Light on Demand

Instant Burst provides momentary access to the full 400-lumen output without cycling through the regular brightness settings.

This is especially useful when you need to quickly illuminate a more distant object, doorway, pathway or the area around your vehicle. After releasing the switch, the flashlight returns to Low mode.

Concealed Micro-USB Charging

The Fenix E05R features a built-in 320 mAh lithium-polymer battery. Charging is performed through a Micro-USB port concealed beneath the threaded front section of the flashlight. This design preserves its compact shape and protects the connector during everyday carrying.

Practical rechargeable design: simply connect a suitable USB power source using a Micro-USB cable. There is no need to remove the battery or purchase a separate battery charger.

Always tighten the protective section after charging. IP68 water resistance is maintained only when the charging port is properly sealed.

Intuitive Metal Side-Switch Operation

  1. Power on and off: press and hold the side switch for approximately 0.5 seconds.
  2. Brightness selection: when switched on, briefly press the button to cycle through Low, Medium and High.
  3. Instant Burst: press and hold the button for approximately 1.2 seconds to activate the momentary 400-lumen output.
  4. After Burst: releasing the button returns the flashlight to the Low brightness setting.

Durability for Everyday Use

The body is manufactured from A6061-T6 aluminium with a HAIII hard-anodised finish. Precision machining provides a compact and robust construction, while the efficient optical system helps deliver practical light distribution.

The IP68 rating includes dust protection and water resistance when submerged to a depth of up to 2 metres under specified testing conditions. The flashlight is suitable for rain and wet environments but is not intended for prolonged underwater operation.
