Exact configuration
Fiocchi Green Mamba 9mm Luger EMB 93 gr ZP

The markings on the original box identify the product as Green Mamba in 9mm Luger, loaded with a 93 gr EMB bullet, ZP primer and classified for Duty use. EMB stands for Expansive MonoBlock—a monolithic expanding bullet made from copper alloy. It is not a conventional FMJ training cartridge and should not be confused with Fiocchi Black Mamba, which uses a different bullet design and weight.

EMB
Monolithic construction

The bullet is manufactured as a solid copper-alloy monoblock without a conventional lead core.

93
Lightweight bullet

The 93 gr / 6.0 g projectile supports a high nominal velocity compared with heavier conventional bullets in the same calibre.

ZP
ZetaPì primer

According to Fiocchi, the primer contains no zinc, lead, mercury, antimony, barium or other heavy metals.

50
Factory packaging

The original Italian-made box contains 50 centre-fire cartridges.

Construction and testing
Performance defined by the EMB bullet geometry
In soft media
Controlled expansion

The bullet’s outer crown is designed to expand in a controlled manner, increasing frontal area and transferring energy without intentional fragmentation of the monoblock.

Structural retention
>98% weight retention

Fiocchi’s official catalogue specifies more than 98% retained weight in ballistic-gelatine testing and a penetration range of 250–300 mm.

Central section
Solid central core

The central section of the monolithic bullet retains structural integrity when passing through harder intermediate materials. Actual results depend on the firearm and test conditions.
