GPO RANGETRACKER 2000 OLED is a compact laser rangefinder designed for users who want fast distance measurements, 6× optical magnification and useful angle information without carrying a large combined rangefinding binocular.
At only 140 g without battery and measuring 94 × 33 × 76 mm, it fits easily into a pocket or compact case. The red OLED display offers 9 brightness levels, while the laser system provides a response time of approximately 0.3 seconds and a HyperScan mode capable of up to three measurements per second.
For highly reflective objects according to the official GPO specification.
The maximum 2000 m value applies to highly reflective objects. This is an important distinction because natural targets reflect laser energy differently.
GPO specifies an approximate maximum range of up to 730 m for a tree and around 550 m for a roe deer. The minimum measuring distance is 6 m.
These target-specific values provide a more realistic understanding of the instrument than a single headline figure of “2000 m”.
HyperScan performs a rapid sequence of measurements and can provide up to 3 readings per second. This is useful when scanning terrain or when the measured point and observer are not completely stationary.
Rapidly updated distance readings in HyperScan mode.
Officially stated response time for the laser measurement.
Useful for sequential measurements of different points and distances across the terrain.
RANGETRACKER 2000 also measures terrain angle. SLOPE and TRUE RANGE use this information to provide more useful distance data when measuring uphill or downhill.
Angle measurement is available across the measuring range, including Scan Mode.
A useful mode for sloping terrain where simple line-of-sight distance does not tell the whole story.
Calculates a slope-corrected distance using the measured range and angle.
GPO includes BEST and LAST Target modes for situations where the laser beam may encounter more than one possible reflective object along the measurement line.
An additional target mode for selecting the most appropriate reading for a particular situation.
A separate mode useful when measuring through or past foreground objects.
Useful functionality around vegetation, uneven terrain and visually complex backgrounds.
Measured data is shown on a red OLED display. GPO provides 9 brightness levels so the display can be adapted to different ambient-light conditions.
High-contrast data display directly within the field of view.
Fine adjustment of display brightness for different viewing conditions.
The officially specified OLED display colour is red.
The optical system uses 6× magnification and a 20 mm objective. Field of view is 131 m at 1000 m, while the exit pupil measures 3.33 mm.
Enough magnification for accurately placing the laser on a specific object.
Official field of view according to the current GPO catalogue.
Allows the eyepiece to be adapted to the user's eyesight.
One of the strongest features of RANGETRACKER 2000 is its compact size. At only 94 × 33 × 76 mm and 140 g without battery, the rangefinder can remain easily accessible throughout the day.
Official weight without battery – a much more compact alternative to large combined rangefinding systems.
A short housing that fits easily in a pocket, compact case or backpack.
Powered by one compact CR2 battery, included in the package.
The current official catalogue specifies IPX4 protection for RANGETRACKER 2000 OLED. The unit is designed for real outdoor use, but should not be presented as suitable for immersion in water.
Protection against water splashes according to the current official specification.
Product development, specification and engineering are organised by GPO in Germany.
GPO states that optics, mechanics and electronics undergo 100% inspection at its headquarters in Germany.

Yes, but 2000 m is the officially stated maximum for highly reflective objects. GPO specifies approximately 730 m for a tree and around 550 m for a roe deer.
The official response time is around 0.3 sec., while HyperScan can provide up to 3 measurements per second.
It uses the measured distance and terrain angle to provide a slope-corrected range value.
No. The unit measures distance and angle and provides SLOPE / TRUE RANGE functions, but does not calculate full ballistic corrections for a specific calibre and cartridge.
No. The current official GPO specification does not list temperature, humidity or atmospheric-pressure sensors for RANGETRACKER 2000 OLED.
The official weight is 140 g without battery, which is one of the key advantages of this model.
