GPO states an extremely fine illuminated dot subtension of only 0.5 cm at 100 m. This matters because the dot remains visible and functional without covering too much of the target during more precise shooting.

The iControl™ system is one of the strong advantages of the Spectra series. It automatically switches off the red dot after a set time and warns when the battery is low. At around 15% remaining power, the system indicates when the battery needs to be replaced.

Additional position sensors detect the angle of the riflescope. When the scope is not in a normal shooting position, illumination can switch off after a few minutes or almost immediately depending on position. When returned to a normal position, the illuminated dot reactivates in a fraction of a second. The function can be deactivated or reactivated by the user.
