HIKMICRO T16 / 4G LTE / Smart Trail Camera
HIKMICRO T16 4G Trail Camera – 24 MP, 1080P, Selectable 60°/100° Field of View and 64 GB Storage

The HIKMICRO T16 is an intelligent trail camera designed for remote wildlife monitoring, hunting grounds, agricultural land, private property and isolated outdoor locations. Its integrated 4G connectivity transmits captured photos, videos and alerts to the HIKMICRO Sight app, reducing the need for frequent visits to the installation site.

The camera combines a native 6 MP sensor with output photos up to 24 MP, Full HD 1080P video, a selectable dual field-of-view system, dual PIR sensors, a 0.4-second trigger speed, discreet 940 nm infrared illumination and 64 GB of integrated storage.

Smart in the Wild
Remote visibility over the monitored area with less disturbance to wildlife

The T16 detects movement through its dual PIR system, records the event and transmits selected media through the 4G network to your phone. This allows you to monitor activity around feeding areas, animal trails, water sources, agricultural land or remote property without regularly entering the monitored zone.

Remote delivery of captured media

Photos, videos and notifications are managed through HIKMICRO Sight according to the selected camera settings and active data plan.

Fewer visits to the installation site

Remote access reduces the need to remove or open the camera frequently and limits human presence in the monitored area.

Better insight into movement patterns

Captured media helps identify activity times, direction of travel and recurring movement through the monitored location.

Important: the 4G connection is intended for remote transfer of recorded media and device management. Live preview during camera positioning is available locally through the T16 Wi-Fi hotspot while you are near the device.
Selectable dual field of view
60° for concentrated framing or 100° for wider coverage

The HIKMICRO T16 provides a choice between two different fields of view. The same camera can therefore be adapted to a narrow woodland trail, feeding site, property entrance or a wider open monitoring area.

60° 100°
60° – more concentrated monitoring Suitable for trails, narrow passages and locations where movement crosses a clearly defined section of the monitored area.
100° – wider scene coverage Suitable for clearings, feeding sites, entrances, yards and situations where a broader view of the surrounding area is required.
Detection range up to 25 m The wide field of view works together with the dual PIR sensors to provide more complete monitoring coverage.
Detection and response
Dual PIR sensors and a 0.4-second trigger speed

The dual PIR system expands the detection zone and improves sensitivity to actual movement. The camera algorithms help distinguish relevant movement from interference caused by wind, leaves, branches and background changes.

Dual PIR system

Wider coverage and more reliable movement detection throughout the monitored area.

0.4-second response

The camera reacts quickly enough to capture passing wildlife and short-duration events.

Up to 25 metres

A practical detection range for trails, feeding sites, clearings and larger open monitoring areas.

Dual PIR sensors 0.4-second trigger Up to 25 m Reduced unwanted triggering
Day and night image quality
Native 6 MP sensor, photos up to 24 MP and 1080P video

The camera uses a native 6 MP sensor and produces UHD images with output resolution up to 24 MP. This distinction is important: 24 MP is the maximum output photo resolution, while the physical sensor resolution is 6 MP.

Photos up to 24 MP

High output resolution makes it easier to inspect animals, identifying details and the environment around them.

Full HD 1080P video

Day and night video provides useful detail for analysing behaviour and direction of movement.

Burst capture

Select one, two or three consecutive photos per trigger for a more complete record of short events.

Actual image detail depends on distance, available light, subject movement, camera position, weather conditions and the selected recording settings.
Night monitoring
940 nm infrared illumination without a visible flash

The infrared system operates at 940 nm and is designed for discreet night-time recording. The camera does not use a bright visible flash that could attract attention or disturb animals after dark.

Practically invisible illumination

Suitable for cautious wildlife and discreet monitoring around isolated property.

Automatic day/night switching

The camera changes between colour daytime imaging and infrared night operation according to ambient light.

More natural animal behaviour

The absence of a visible flash reduces the likelihood of changing the behaviour of monitored wildlife.

Connectivity and application
HIKMICRO Sight, 4G multi-roaming SIM and local Wi-Fi preview
1
PIR detects movement

The camera registers motion in the selected monitoring zone.

2
The T16 records

It captures a photo, photo burst or video according to the configured settings.

3
4G transmits

Selected media is transferred through the available mobile network.

4
Your phone receives

Captured media and notifications are viewed in the HIKMICRO Sight app.

Integrated SIM system

Multi-roaming connectivity searches for a suitable supported mobile network in the operating region.

Quick QR-code pairing

The device is added to HIKMICRO Sight by scanning its QR code and following the pairing instructions in the application.

Local preview for positioning

During installation, the phone connects to the camera Wi-Fi hotspot so the framing and angle can be checked before final placement.

Mobile data plans
Current terms are managed directly by HIKMICRO

An active data plan is required for remote 4G transmission. The plan is selected and managed through the HIKMICRO ecosystem. Available packages, supported countries, included data, validity periods and prices may change and are therefore not fixed in this product description.

Check the current T16 data plans

The link opens the official HIKMICRO page in a new tab. The data plan is a separate service managed according to the current terms of the manufacturer.

Official T16 data plans
Check mobile network coverage at the intended installation point before deployment. Dense woodland, terrain, low-lying areas and distance from the nearest base station can affect connection speed and transmission reliability.
HIKZone and data protection
A connected monitoring ecosystem for multiple zones

HIKZone extends the management of compatible cameras through a map-based interface showing device locations, monitored zones and recently detected activity. In supported versions of the application, detected animals can be shown using approximate, blurred location markers without revealing the precise coordinates of the camera.

Device map

More convenient management when several cameras are deployed across different monitoring areas.

European servers

According to HIKMICRO, T16 data is hosted on servers located in Europe.

Encrypted transfer

Information is protected during transmission and storage within the HIKMICRO system.

Power and operating endurance
12 × AA or 4 × 18650 – select the most suitable power configuration

The HIKMICRO T16 supports two power options: twelve AA batteries or four rechargeable 18650 cells. The choice can be adapted to the accessibility of the installation site, trigger frequency, 4G signal strength and operating temperature.

12 × AA

A practical solution when fast replacement with widely available batteries is preferred.

4 × 18650

A rechargeable option for repeated use with suitable quality cells and a compatible charger.

HIKMICRO SP5000

The compatible optional solar panel can extend the time between maintenance visits.

Use batteries of the same type and with a similar charge level. Do not mix old and new batteries, different battery chemistries or visibly damaged cells. Observe correct polarity and the manufacturer’s instructions.
Integrated storage
64 GB with no external SD card required

The T16 stores photos and videos in 64 GB of built-in memory. This simplifies initial setup and removes the risk of using a slow, incompatible, incorrectly formatted or damaged external memory card.

Fewer separate components

There is no need to purchase, format or maintain an additional SD card.

Local copy of recorded media

Captured content remains stored inside the camera and can be managed through the supported application functions.

More reliable initial operation

One frequent cause of trail-camera problems—an incompatible or defective memory card—is removed from the system.
