The distinctive character of the Max version comes from its thumbhole stock made from specially processed laminated beech. MAUSER uses this construction to provide high dimensional stability, resistance to warping and a naturally ergonomic hand position.

MAUSER 25 is the brand's modern hunting platform built around its own straight-pull action. The MAUSER-Spread-Lock-250 system uses two substantial locking elements. According to MAUSER's technical information, they provide dual 125° locking engagement – a total of 250° – with a locking contact area of 66 mm².
Ergonomically positioned straight bolt handle
