Muela BISON-9NL is a compact fixed-blade hunting knife from the Spanish manufacturer Muela. The model combines a 90 mm blade, an equally compact 90 mm handle and a traditional natural-wood appearance.
The BISON-9NL version uses a Kingwood handle, referred to by Muela as palovioleta. The blade is made from stainless steel designated as 1.4116 / X50CrMoV15.
BISON-9NL is built in a compact format with blade and handle measuring 90 mm each. This makes it comfortable to carry and suitable for users who prefer a smaller fixed-blade knife with a traditional construction.
Compact working length suited to precise and controlled tasks.
1.4116, also known as X50CrMoV15, is a European stainless knife steel.
Natural wood with a dark, distinctive grain that gives the knife a traditional appearance.
Compact weight for a fixed-blade knife with a natural wood handle.
Hardness specified in Muela's earlier catalogue for the BISON-9NL.
Earlier Muela catalogues identify the BISON-9NL steel as X50CrMoV15, while newer catalogues use the European material designation 1.4116.
It is a stainless knife steel known for a practical balance of corrosion resistance, straightforward sharpening and easy maintenance.
The NL version is the configuration with a natural wood handle. Muela identifies the material as madera palovioleta / Kingwood.
Kingwood gives the knife a traditional and premium character.
As a natural material, the wood may show slight variations in tone and grain between individual knives.
Compact handle length designed to match the 90 mm blade.
With a 90 mm blade, 90 mm handle and 110 g weight, the BISON-9NL is one of Muela's more compact fixed-blade hunting knives. Its construction is simple and direct, without a folding mechanism.
Traditional direct construction without a folding mechanism.
Well suited to users who do not want an unnecessarily large or heavy knife.
The shorter blade makes precise handling easier during practical tasks.
A classic solution for carrying and protecting a fixed-blade knife.
BISON-9NL is presented in Muela catalogues with a traditional leather sheath that complements the natural wood styling of the knife.
The sheath provides organised carrying and protects the blade during storage.
Muela specifies a 90 mm blade, 90 mm handle and 110 g weight for the BISON-9NL.
Working length characteristic of the compact Bison format.
Short, traditionally shaped natural wood handle.
Officially specified weight for the BISON-9NL.
Muela BISON-9NL is intended for users who prefer a traditional fixed-blade knife in a compact size, with a natural wood handle and easy-to-maintain stainless steel.
Compact construction suitable for a variety of precise hunting-related tasks.
