Sightmark Accudot is a cartridge-style laser boresight designed for the initial alignment of riflescopes, reflex sights and adjustable iron sights. It is inserted directly into the firearm chamber like the corresponding cartridge and projects a red laser point along the approximate axis of the bore.
The series uses a built-in rechargeable battery, a USB charging station, automatic activation and a precisely calibrated laser diode. Select the correct version for the firearm chamber when placing your order.
This product page combines four separate Sightmark Accudot versions. When adding the product to your cart, select the option corresponding to the chamber of your firearm.
Version for firearms chambered in .223 Remington or 5.56×45 NATO.
SM39050One shared version for compatible .243 Winchester, .308 Winchester and 7.62×51 NATO chambers.
SM39051One shared version for .30-06 Springfield, .270 Winchester and .25-06 Remington.
SM39053Separate version for smoothbore firearms chambered in 12 Gauge.
SM39054Important when ordering: the listed price and purchase refer to one laser boresight in the selected caliber version. This is not a set containing all calibers, and one unit is not universal for all four caliber groups.
Select the correct caliber from the product option before completing your order.
Sightmark Accudot is shaped to match the dimensions of the relevant cartridge or shotgun shell. Inserting it directly into the chamber centres the unit in relation to the bore and allows the red laser to project an approximate reference point onto a target.
Aligning the riflescope, reflex sight or iron sights with the laser point can significantly reduce the number of live rounds needed to place the first shots on the target during final sighting-in.
The boresight is inserted like a normal cartridge and requires no mounting on the barrel or rail.
The laser diode is centred in relation to the housing for more accurate initial alignment.
Initial laser alignment helps place the first live shots closer to the target.
Accudot does not use a conventional external on/off button. The laser activates automatically when the boresight is inserted into the chamber and the firearm action or bolt is closed.
Opening the action and removing the unit interrupts the power supply. This helps prevent unnecessary battery consumption while the boresight is not in use.
Remove the magazine, remove all ammunition and visually and physically inspect the chamber.
Insert the Accudot model that corresponds exactly to the firearm chamber.
Closing the action activates the laser automatically and projects the red point onto the target.
Adjust the riflescope reticle, reflex sight dot or iron sights in relation to the laser point.
Open the action, remove the boresight and place it back in its protective case.
Complete the final adjustment with suitable ammunition at a safe shooting range.
The Accudot series uses a red laser with a wavelength of 632–650 nm and an output power below 5 mW. The manufacturer specifies a recommended boresighting range of 15 to 100 yd, approximately 14 to 91 m.
The laser-point diameter is specified as approximately 2 inches at 100 yd, or around 5.1 cm at 91.4 m. Visibility depends on ambient light, target colour and distance.
Good visibility indoors, at dusk or when used with a suitable target surface.
Manufacturer specification for the laser module used in the series.
Maximum manufacturer-stated range for initial laser boresighting.
Approximate laser-point diameter at the specified distance.
Instead of small replaceable batteries, Accudot uses an integrated rechargeable lithium-ion battery. This simplifies preparation before visiting the shooting range and eliminates the need to keep specific spare batteries.
The manufacturer specifies approximately 1 hour of continuous operation and around 1 hour for a full charge. Since the laser activates only while installed in the chamber, this is sufficient for multiple short alignment sessions.
The adjustable base accommodates Accudot versions of different sizes.
The station connects to a suitable power source through the included USB cable.
A flashing red light indicates charging, while a steady green light indicates a full charge.
Each version is manufactured from durable brass and shaped according to the dimensions of the corresponding cartridge or shotgun shell. The brass construction supports proper chamber fit, centring and extraction.
Unlike universal muzzle-insert boresights that use interchangeable adapters, Accudot operates directly from the firearm chamber. This removes the need to adjust separate muzzle attachments and reduces the risk of incorrect adapter centring.
Each version follows the dimensions of its compatible chamber group.
No expandable adapters or sleeves are inserted into the front of the barrel.
The boresight, charging station and cables can be stored in the included carrying case.
Initial alignment after mounting a new optical riflescope.
Approximate alignment of the red dot with the bore axis.
Approximate verification that the sighting system has not shifted during transport.
Initial alignment of adjustable mechanical sights before live firing.
The video demonstrates the operating principle, automatic activation, rechargeable battery and different caliber-specific versions in the Sightmark Accudot series.
The package is supplied ready for use and charging. The exact laser boresight version depends on the caliber option selected when ordering.
One laser boresight in the selected caliber version.
Adjustable station for charging the integrated battery.
Cable for connecting the charging station to a power source.
Power adapter for the charging station.
Organised storage and protection during transport.
Instructions for operation, charging, maintenance and safety.
Never fire the firearm while the laser boresight is inside the chamber.
Before insertion or removal, remove all ammunition from the working area, remove the magazine and inspect the chamber.
Always point the firearm in a safe direction. Do not look directly into the laser aperture and do not aim the beam at eyes, people, animals, vehicles, mirrors or highly reflective surfaces.
After completing the alignment, remove the Accudot and confirm that the chamber is empty before bringing ammunition back into the working area.
