The Sightmark Core TX 1–4×24 DCR is a compact variable-power riflescope developed for rapid shooting at close distances and controlled aiming at medium ranges. Its 1–4× magnification range, wide field of view and DCR Dual Caliber Reticle make it a practical option for rifles chambered in .223 Remington and .308 Winchester.
The exact SM13072DCR model features a glass-etched second focal plane reticle, red and green illumination, exposed locking adjustment turrets, a single-piece 30 mm aluminium tube and IP67 protection.
At 1× magnification, the Sightmark Core TX provides a wide field of view and supports fast target acquisition and tracking. This setting is suitable for dynamic shooting, hunting in dense terrain and situations where aiming speed is more important than high magnification.
At 4× magnification, the image provides greater detail for more precise aiming at medium distances. The ballistic reference marks of the DCR reticle are calibrated specifically for use at 4×.
From 32.04 m at 1× to 8.03 m at 4×, measured at 100 m.
The body measures 245 mm and does not add unnecessary length to the rifle.
From 101.6 to 94 mm depending on the selected magnification.
The DCR reticle was developed for use with two widely used rifle calibres. The manufacturer specifies calibration for .223 Remington with 55 and 62 gr bullets and .308 Winchester with 150 and 155 gr bullets.
With the rifle zeroed at 100 yd, the reticle provides ballistic reference marks for approximate distances of 300, 400, 500, 600 and 700 yd. Its fine central aiming area supports precise aiming without unnecessarily obscuring the target.
Calibration for factory ammunition using 55 and 62 gr bullets.
Calibration for factory ammunition using 150 and 155 gr bullets.
The ballistic layout is designed around a 100-yard zero distance.
Magnification must be set to 4× before using the ballistic reference marks.
The DCR reticle is positioned in the second focal plane. Its apparent size remains constant as magnification is changed, keeping the reticle clear and easy to read at both 1× and 4×.
The ballistic distances, however, are calculated for a specific magnification setting. On this model, the reference marks correspond to the stated calibration at the maximum 4× magnification.
The etched DCR reticle remains visible in black when illumination is switched off. When required, the shooter can select red or green illumination according to the background, ambient light and personal preference.
Each colour provides five brightness levels, plus a 0 position for switching the illumination off. Lower levels are suitable for dim light, while higher settings are intended for brighter daylight.
Clear visibility against green, grey and dark backgrounds.
Alternative colour for different terrain and lighting conditions.
Brightness can be matched to the ambient light.
Approximate battery life of 70 to 100 hours depending on the selected setting.
The adjustment turrets are exposed for quick access but include a mechanical locking system to prevent accidental rotation. To unlock a turret, the upper locking element is loosened by approximately one quarter turn before the required adjustment is made.
One click equals 1/2 MOA. This corresponds to approximately 14.5 mm at 100 m, 7.3 mm at 50 m and 3.6 mm at 25 m.
Practical adjustment value for clear and efficient point-of-impact corrections.
Total vertical adjustment range.
Total horizontal adjustment range.
The optical system uses fully multi-coated lenses to support light transmission, contrast and image clarity in different lighting conditions.
The 24 mm objective lens keeps the body compact and low. The design is focused on a wide field of view and fast aiming rather than the maximum light-gathering ability of a large hunting riflescope.
Wide field of view at low magnification and greater target detail at 4×.
Adjustment range from –2 to +2 for clear reticle focus.
Factory-set at 100 yd / approximately 91.4 m.
The body is manufactured from aluminium and uses a single-piece 30 mm tube. Its hard-anodised matte-black finish protects the exterior surface and reduces unwanted reflections.
The riflescope is nitrogen-filled, shockproof and protected against internal fogging. The IP67 rating provides protection against dust and temporary immersion in water to a depth of 1 m for up to 1 hour.
Durable construction with a weight of approximately 482 g.
Helps prevent internal fogging during temperature changes.
Protection against dust and water ingress.
Manufacturer-stated operating-temperature range.
The Sightmark Core TX 1–4×24 DCR is supplied with 30 mm mounting rings intended for a compatible Weaver/Picatinny rail. Correct eye relief and vertical reticle alignment should be established before final tightening.
Mounting set for a compatible Weaver/Picatinny base.
Protect the eyepiece and objective lens during transport and field movement.
Powers the red and green reticle illumination.
Instructions for mounting, sighting in, adjustment and maintenance.
