The STEYR MS WILD is a modern Austrian bolt-action rifle developed for reliable operation in demanding field conditions. The .30-06 Springfield version combines a 558 mm cold-hammer-forged barrel, symmetrical green polymer stock, protective MANNOX finish and a detachable magazine with a total capacity of 3+1 rounds.
At the heart of the rifle is the STEYR MONOBLOC system, in which the receiver, chamber and barrel are formed as one continuous steel component. The result is a rigid and precise structure without a conventional threaded joint between the barrel and receiver.
The MS WILD is designed for hunters who use their rifle in rain, snow, low temperatures, dust and demanding everyday field conditions. The polymer stock is not affected by moisture like natural wood, the metal surfaces are protected by a MANNOX finish, and the main controls are accessible and intuitive.

In a conventional design, the barrel is usually connected to the receiver through a threaded joint. With STEYR MONOBLOC, these essential components are manufactured as one continuous steel part. This removes a separate connection from one of the most heavily stressed areas of the rifle.
The MS WILD platform has undergone testing based on military standards, including operation at temperatures down to -51°C, exposure to salt water, sand contamination, impact loads and drop testing. It is engineered for real climatic and terrain challenges.
The safety wheel is positioned at the rear of the action and can be reached easily from the shooting position. The clear visual indicator allows the rifle’s status to be checked quickly, while the bolt lock supports secure carrying.
The compact control arrangement can be operated without releasing the primary grip on the stock.
The trigger is configured to provide a clear and controlled shot release. The specified pull weight is approximately 700 g ±50 g, while its position can be adjusted within a range of ±8 mm.
The barrel measures 558 mm / 22″ and forms an integral part of the MONOBLOC construction. This length provides an effective balance between ballistic performance, stability and overall rifle handling.
